From the trip to Oregon. This was taken in the wine country on Domaine Serene
Oregon really has some great wines
. We hit a couple wineries that day. You really have to make an effort to get drunk doing tastings. We didn't make that kind of effort.
"Welcome to the party, pal!"

The thing about a bad, long return trip is that it is the freshest thing in your mind -- once you resume the ability to think again. So you find yourself bitching about it and giving the impression that it was a horrible time. So, let me say I had a great time in Portland with my family.
There. Now about that return.
Flight delayed out of Portland. Connecting flight cancelled out of O'Hare. They wouldn't post the gate where the later flight (that I had demanded that the agent hold some seats for us on it when it appeared that we might not make our connecting) would be for a good hour. Sitting in the plane for almost an hour past our actual take-off time.
I'm not saying I'll never fly this airline again (rhymes with "screw-blighted"), but they won't be my first, second or third choice.
Finally get home about 4 hours later than hoped to discover the request to the post office to hold our mail apparently didn't take.
I feel a little better for venting.
